1. Introduction

Zero ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose your information when you use the Zero messaging application.

By using Zero, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

• Message Content: Text messages, images, videos, files, voice messages, and any other content you send

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers
• Usage Information: Logs, activity times, errors, crash reports
• Technical Data: IP address, connection information, performance data

2.2.1 Location Data (Optional)

The App does NOT automatically collect or track your location. Location data is only accessed and shared when you explicitly choose to share your location in a message.

• What Location Data: When you choose to share location, the App accesses your current GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) at the moment you send the location message.
• How It's Collected: Location is accessed only when you actively tap the location sharing button in a chat. The App requests location permission only for this purpose.
• Purpose: Location data is used solely to send your location to the recipient of your message. It is not used for any other purpose, including advertising, analytics, or tracking.
• Storage: If you send a location in a message, the location coordinates are stored as part of the message content on our servers (encrypted) until you or the recipient deletes the message.
• Sharing: Location data is shared only with the specific recipient(s) of your message. We do not share location data with third parties, advertisers, or for any other purpose.
• User Control: You have complete control - you can choose not to share location at all, and you can delete location messages at any time.

2.3 Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

• Contacts: To find friends who already use the App
• Camera/Gallery: To share photos and videos
• Microphone: To record voice messages
• Location: To share your location in messages when you choose to do so (optional - only accessed when you actively share location)
• Notifications: To receive notifications about new messages
• Storage: To save and share files

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve our services
• Enable secure communication between users
• Send notifications about new messages
• Handle technical issues and support
• Maintain App security

4. Encryption and Security

4.1 End-to-End Encryption

All messages are encrypted end-to-end. Only you and the recipient can read the content. We cannot decrypt or read your messages.

4.2 Server Security

Information is stored on secure servers with encryption. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

4.3 Authentication

The App supports biometric authentication (fingerprint/face recognition) for secure access.

4.4 Screenshot Blocking

The App includes built-in screenshot blocking to prevent unauthorized screen captures.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your information to advertisers or third parties.

• Messages: Stored on secure servers until you delete them
• Profile: Saved as long as your account is active
• Logs: Retained for a limited period for technical support
• Local Storage: Privacy settings are stored only on your device

7. Disappearing Messages

If you use the disappearing messages feature (TTL), messages are automatically deleted after the time you set. Once deleted, messages cannot be recovered.

9. Children's Privacy and Child Safety Standards

• Prohibit all forms of CSAE - Zero has a zero-tolerance policy for any content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation.
• Report violations immediately - We report suspected CSAE to law enforcement and child protection authorities without delay.
• Cooperate with authorities - We fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations related to child safety.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• That your messages will be delivered
• That your messages will be secure
• That your data will not be lost
• That the App will be available at all times
• That the App will be free of errors
• That encryption will prevent all unauthorized access
• That screenshot blocking will prevent all screen captures
• That the App will protect against all security threats

12.5 USER RESPONSIBILITY

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

• You use the App at your own risk
• You are solely responsible for your use of the App
• You are solely responsible for the content you send
• You are solely responsible for protecting your account
• You are solely responsible for backing up your data
• We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the App

12.6 THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

THE APP MAY USE THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (SUCH AS SUPABASE, FIREBASE, ETC.). WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• The privacy practices of third-party services
• The security of third-party services
• Any breaches or failures of third-party services
• Any data loss or damage resulting from third-party services

If any provision of this Privacy Policy is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
